-- North Pars, Changloueh fields up for investment

Some 120 kilometers southeast of the southern Bushehr Province, Iran owns a gas field holding more than 57 tcf of gas in place. North Pars is among fields with high potential for investment. The field is estimated to require $16 billion in investment, including $5 billion in the upstream sector and $11 billion in the downstream sector, mainly liquefied natural gas (LNG)
plants.
North Pars was discovered in 1963 following implementation of 3D seismic testing. Then, six exploration, appraisal and development wells were drilled for the field development. Two foreign companies including Exxon were in charge of North Pars development. That was halted in 1979, Iran Petroleum reported.
At the time of its discovery, North Pars was the largest gas reservoir in Iran. Investment in North Pars was accelerated until the jointly-owned South Pars was discovered to become Iran’s top priority.

Known as the best creation of God, humans are capable of adapting to nature better than other living beings due to their intelligence and talent,” said an Iranian archeologist and researcher.
Rajabali Labbaf Khaniki told ISNA that since ancient times, human beings have either migrated to a place of their choice, or built suitable homes for themselves and used available technology to create tools and equipment which helped them adapt to nature.
He said that in the past, people used architecture to build shelter, temples to perform religious ceremonies, castles and towers to defend themselves, wind-catchers and crypts to moderate the air, cisterns to store water, and caravanserais to have shelter and security on the road.
