The ISC Rating Group Manager Dr. Mansureh Serati focusing on the issue, said here on Thursday: The result of 2023 QS World University Ratings was published on June 8, 2022, in which 1,422 universities around the world are rated.
She said that six Iranian universities are in that list, including the Sharif University of Technology that has ranked 380th, the Amir Kabir University of Technology that has ranked 443rd, as Iran’s first and second best universities, while the University of Tehran has ranked 510th and 501st, as the third best, the University of Shiraz 751st and 800th, and Shahid Beheshti University 1200th and 1001st are the other Iranian universities in that list.
The ratings of four Iranian universities have improved in the 2023 QS World University Ratings.
The ISC Rating Group manager said that the presence of three technological universities in that list, that is half of the Iranian universities in it, while two of them are atop the rest, show that our industrial universities have been performing better compared with our medical universities, whose number is greater.
She said that in this rating the universities from 26 Islamic countries are present, among which the Malaysian and Turkish with 24 universities and the Indonesian, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabian with 16 universities are the largest.
Palestine and Kyrgyzstan universities, too, are for the first time present in this list.
The world’s top ten universities, according to the 2023 QS World Universities include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge University (Britain), Stanford university (US), Oxford University (Britain), Harvard University (US), The Imperial College of London (Britain), the UCL University (Britain), the Zurich Institute of Technology (Switzerland), Chicago University (US).
The National University of Singapore, too, has ranked 11th in the list.
